Marriage....A Thought.

Mum and dad are married. Dad has cheated, that mum doesn't know about, but they like each other, seem to get on together...and, I suppose, love each other.

My best mate Amber. She's married. Married to an older woman. They have a very open marriage. They care about each other a lot. They love each other.

My cousin Debbie, she's married. Nice bloke. Some, what? 6 years or so now. They're in love.

Me? I'm with Adrian. Lovely guy. We're engaged. I do my job, he's faithful. We're happy together. No plans on marriage. He's told me, that that is the last thing he'll ever do. So engagement is as good as it gets.

..and I'm fine with that.

Marriage don't bring you a 'happy ever after'. It doesn't stop bad things from happening. Having good people, a good partner, that's the thing right there. That's worth more than diamonds...or 21 carot gold...

Love...

@SarahTheHooker I've seen it on here before, but it's illogical and nonsensical. Where I come from the word "guy" means "man", not "person of unspecified gender". It's not a unisex word in our dictionary and I see no reason to use it as such on a website.
