The people who think their entitled to their spouses body scare me

Obviously one cannot force themselves onto another. At the same time, I think most people have an expectation that physical intimacy will be part of a relationship that's romantic (in most cases, unless they're asexual) and when it lessens or stops for no good reason then they begin to question things and pushing for it to improve.

Scripture does state the wife's body is her husband's and vice versa but that does not mean we use it whenever without thought or consideration for them. That is just self-serving and not how Christ loved the church (if they're using that to justify their actions). A person should be respectful of their spouse and their needs, there may be occasions when they cannot or do not want to engage in sex, or have their body touched by anybody.

The sad/horrific part is that's not all that uncommon.

SA is SA regardless. Pretty sure that’s the law of the land as well.
