Hubs and I were older when we got married. We had been together for a few years and knew we loved each other, we’re committed to our relationship, and were in it for the long haul. It made sense, especially when it came to the legalities of finances and health. While we don’t have much, he has a few less than honest family members and it was safer in the long run for us to have spouses named as beneficiaries and power of attorney. We knew our lives would be safe with each other.
