Interestingly, I arrived in a new country (yours) on 29 February, when women are supposedly "allowed" (by tradition) to propose. Considering I was arriving to marry her, I suppose the official proposal was pointless. That said, three months later she sent me packing back on a plane again. 🤷‍♂️😲

I suppose that doesn't technically answer any of your questions, but I thought it was relevant. :)
