It's a mix.. easy to blame the most blatant purist third wave feminists that stick out so prominently. But really it's all related to pop culture, radical college professors telling everyone how they are wrong and bad all the time, men and women wanting to stay *young* and care reel longer and maturing later in life, the Internet making hookups so easy and each other so easy to replace, the constant pressure that the world is going to pop if we have too many kids, the endless economic slide where typically both partners have to work to support a family and it's hard to get good paying jobs till much later in life, and on and on and on.

This culture is becoming like a drug people do just because it's easy and feels good, seems normal to the younger generations, and everyone else is doing it, but few have the courage to question it, and even fewer still will have the courage to stand in opposition against it.
