How can I help my wife get over her fear ? [I Marriage]

My wife is terrified of airplanes she's been scared of planes since 9/11. She wants to get over her fear so we can go to places like London or Disneyland. She's just worried about plane crashes. She also has really bad asthma and heart condition she's not sure if she'll be able to fly or not she tried when she was 5 when her and her brother went to Florida and went to Disney World she almost didnt survive the flight she about had a heart attack since she's older she's not sure how well she do now. Also a lot of her favorite country singers have died in plane crashes. She's almost 28 she's still terrified of flying. How can I help her get over this fear ? Are planes really that safe ? How often do they crash ?
Maybe there is an alternative form of transportation she is willing to try? Like a cruise that will take you to a destination and then a cruise back home from there. Or just driving if the destination is reachable by land. It will mean more time in transportation and longer overall vacations but it would mean she wouldn't need to get on a plane.

There's always the option of her learning how to fly a plane herself so that she knows what is involved. It's more complicated than driving a car but it's a similar principle of manipulating a vehicle and not so difficult that any average human being couldn't do it. If her problem is with plane/flight mechanics she can always learn more about how they work.
She has a greater chance of being involved in a car accident than an airplane accident...

Since 9/11 plane crash incidents have reduced by nearly half. It's literally twice as safe for the last 2 decades.

Narrow it to commercial airlines the incidents are even fewer in number. Narrow it more to actual deaths resulted from crashes it's really not worth staying over.

If that doesn't help, compare prices between plane tickets and any other form of travel. Worked with my wife.

Celebrities fly much more frequently compared to the average person
@morrgin And on smaller more easily damaged craft usually.

I don't know what to tell you. I got on a plane in October 2001. I think they're generally safe. There's no magic key to getting rid of a fear like that.

She’s just gotta fly
Take her on rollercoasters, that helps a lot actually
