Can a marriage work if one person wants kids and the other doesn't ?

I think it can, but it'll be hard. Having kids is a pretty major thing, and something people tend to yearn for in life. It's different when the person is unable to have kids and their partner has to accept that and find solutions, but when you are able to, but you're not willing to compromise, it can put a massive strain on a relationship. I don't think I'd be willing to be with someone who doesn't want to have kids. Either way, that conversation tends to happen early on in the relationship, fortunately.
