Why this aversion to marriage among the newer generations?

I find people the age of my parents and grandparents believing that marriage is as inevitable a part of life as death. 🤷‍♀️😅

I think It's more attractive as you get older when you want a family and the stability that comes with it. I think before birth control it was more normal as well, divorce also became more popular something like 50 years ago? (something like that).
