I Believe Marriage Is a Partnership

I was asked to write a short speech for a wedding i'm attending today. I wrote this from the heart, from a man's perspective, hopefully providing some guidence and a recipe for a long marriage. Any provoking thoughts? Made a few more changes..

When a man finds his true love, his world changes. He forsakes all others. She becomes his best friend. He concentrates on ensuring her security. He does things for her that he will not do for anyone else. Together, they create a path that will lead to stability for themselves, for their family. The words mine and yours cease to exist. They are now one. They function as a single unit. They are now partners in the eyes of God. And as time goes on, they will evolve. He will support her and help her to grow. He will also support his mates dreams, hopes, failures, and successes. Their love grows too, evolving into an understanding, deserving of admiration, respect, and support. Times will not always be easy. But using the foundation they created together and his commitment, they can weather any storm. And their love and marriage will continue to grow, to thrive, to endure the test of time. With God's blessing....
