Do I deserve being hated for trying to be intimate with my friend's bf?

My friend's bf is 35 y.o, I have been in love with him for 1.5 years. I've witnessed the end of his 2 serious relationships so far. I've always been intimate to him. I don't know if he noticed or not. His ex-gf was trying to belittle me because she suspected me. Just because of this, our mutual friends said they hate me and we went our separate ways

It's unfortunately about ownership. Which realy has no place in any society.

Your friend was trying to keep him for herself. Total selfish of her to even try since she didn't want a permanent relationship.
