Think it's about time, really.
I AM a gushy kinda chick and my wife....erhhhh...isn't....but, sod that!
Platitudes, platitudes, platitudes!
'Cos, y'know, she's been in my life for a long time and things can seem normal and taken for granted, but they're not.
Karen is pretty amazing. Pretty much the calm, level headed - ie, not the emotional asshole like I am - one in the relationship. I'm the loud one, but behind the scenes she's the one that keeps the car on the road, so to speak.
She is my rock. I don't, or rarely, have a bad word to say about her because her heart is always front and centre. We have disagreements, sure, but we're both mature enough to be respectful.
She was there for me to co-parent my eldest, she was there for me when my mum died suddenly, she was there for me when our daughter was born...and she gave me emotional support when I stopped taking drugs. And, of course, the support that she's given to me over my career choice.
So....yeah. Love her, admire her and respect the bloody hell out of her.

Why write this? Life can be short, sometimes, so it's nice to put down just how you think and feel in words - as well as actions - so that those that know you know you love them.
