The clothesline is up!!

A while back I posted about how one of my little but ongoing marital issues is that I like hanging laundry outside to dry, for practical and nostalgic reasons, while my wife does not and has never wanted a clothesline. Well, with the encouragement of SWeeps who commented on that post, we compromised and I get to hang my laundry outside. I am happy :)

I live in a townhouse complex ("row house" or "condo") and they don't allow the drying of laundry outside. 🤷‍♀
@sarabee1995 That explains something! My nostalgic memory of a clothesline is from the house I lived in as a kid. I don't recall a clothesline from the house in another city that I lived in as a teenager -- which was exactly in a townhouse complex. They probably didn't allow it either.

@sarabee1995 I don’t own a clothes dryer which are expensive to run....sun and wind are free.

@KiwiBird The rain's free too - and it's such fun to start the process all over again when your nearly-dry laundry gets soaked!

@ArtieKat That is called the rinse cycle.

@KiwiBird We've been talking lately about what kind of life we want and whether that will include buying a single-family detached house or sticking with the condo life. Opinions vary, discussions ongoing. :)
