I Believe Long Distance Relationship Can Work

Yes-I do believe it can work, but it will take work. I had a long distance relationship, and it was off and on for about two years, but then I started seeing a man here. This messed things up-particularly since the man here wanted a serious (marriage) kind of relationship. It can work, but it's hard.

A marriage by itself is not a hindrance for a long distance relationship. Jealousy is. I suspect the actual problem is not knowing each other and being good friends in real life before the long distance came in.

continue on line long distance and continue local relation with marriage

@olderguy2016 -but what about the jealousy? What-make sure that the local relation doesn't know about the long distance relation-keep the local and long distance a secret? That sounds problematic.

@opalgaia i havd no jealousy.why should i jealousy about an unknow lady's relationship..i just express my opinion .
Long distance relationships are like treading water. It's a lot of work and it doesn't go anywhere.

I have been involved in a workable LDR myself. If the commitment is there, anything is possible

Lots of ups and downs and you're right it does take work and commitment - but it can be very rewarding :-)

i have had some longtime online friends whom distance and other factors keep me from ever meeting; but we can chat/talk and confide in each other.

It works, ofcourse it is hard as we need to in touch constantly in initial phase of any relation then it automatically gets matured. Its good as in long distance relation we can connect to talk and share things more openly which is not the case in inperson relations.
What's the best way to make it work?

@LostSoul22: Sorry, but I don't know (seeing as how mine ended....). I believe that there are some strong people that can handle it, but I couldn't.
@opalgaia: That's a fair answer. Always peaked my interest.
