It ended amicably as Covid began. She had moved farther away with her job. She has since married. It was a good time. No regrets
1PrivateHannah · 51-55, F
@JohnnyNoir No regrets too. He's the nicest man I met online at that time.

Noworries72 · 51-55, M
I met a girl from Kansas… literally a whirlwind from me. Her name was Christy Dawn.
1PrivateHannah · 51-55, F
@Noworries72 how long were you romantic?
Noworries72 · 51-55, M
@1PrivateHannah it’s going back awhile now; and it was just keeping up with each other and with our families. I expect she met someone, which is good.
1PrivateHannah · 51-55, F
@Noworries72 why can't you be together?
1490wayb · 61-69, M
my sister and her husband were 600 miles apart when found each other thru work and been together since 1995
Anon066 · 36-40, M
ive always had long distance transition to irl within a couple months.
1PrivateHannah · 51-55, F
@Anon066 great for you!
i maintained some for years that never really came to fruition in the end. no regrets really on them. i learned some lessons and in the end remained friends with a few.
1PrivateHannah · 51-55, F
@DancingStarGoddess true, we meet people for a reason.
GoFish ·
so he was married and i presume is still married?
1PrivateHannah · 51-55, F
@GoFish i can't say. I met his ex's fiancee.

I’ve never been in an LDR. If I’m going to get emotionally close enough to someone for them to ruin my life, I want them within slapping distance in case they do.
1PrivateHannah · 51-55, F
@BlameBrett slapping distance...Lol
There are connections that couldn’t transition to real life for some reason, LDR or not. It’s not easy to heal and move on from the grief of losing that, but I hope that you would always remember those years are very very significant in your life.
1PrivateHannah · 51-55, F
@CookieCrumbs It was significant.
Holding on for love that was never mine.
But I have moved on.
Offthetop · 56-60, M
All mine fizzled out when we realized that we couldn’t be together irl and ldr are so futile. I repeated this several times for periods of months in the EP days.

One in Louisiana went off to church and didn’t ever log in again. I still wonder what was in that sermon.
1PrivateHannah · 51-55, F
@Offthetop maybe the sermon was the church doesn't approve LDR ⛪🙄😅

Just kidding.
Offthetop · 56-60, M
@1PrivateHannah Jesus commands that we type with two hands.

I forget the chapter and verse of that gem.
1PrivateHannah · 51-55, F
@Offthetop I only type with my thumb using my phone. 👍😂

The door is closed, the room is still,
and time asks room to work its skill.
It hurts to watch the story end,
to lose a lover, lose a friend.
Yet deep inside your quiet chest,
a wild force will not let you rest;
the self that bloomed before they came
is whole and bright and still the same.
You are not broken, only freed
to scatter light upon a seed.
So let the tears come as they must—
then rise up gently from the dust
1PrivateHannah · 51-55, F
@Lilnonames WOW! very touching. Thank you so much!
Lilnonames · F
@1PrivateHannah you very welcome
