I Believe Long Distance Relationship Can Work

So I took all your advice and spoke to him about where we're headed. Also if I start freaking out about anything, I'm to ring him immediately and discuss everything. In the last 3 weeks he's traveled to my place twice.

I'm also enjoying my space so I can train boxing & bjj heaps which I was doing for 14 years & before he came along. He's also pretty secure about me training closely with mostly men who are pretty much my brothers. That's been a huge issue with anyone I've started seeing.

My teenage sons also adore him which is the most important thing to me & he's the first guy in 4 years that I've brought home.

I've got a week off in a few weeks so will head up to his place

As long as you continue to have the the 3c's, Communication, Commitment, and Compromise, your relationship should work out fine. My LDR resulted in a wonderful and happy marriage that's still going strong. Good luck and best wishes to you both.

How long did you do the LDR thing til you moved in together?

@Florence: We met on an international dating site, (I'm from USA, she was in China.) We communicated for almost 1 year via online and telephone. then I went to China to meet her and her family. I stayed about 1 month. Before I left China, we were married in China. I then returned alone to the USA where it took me almost 1 year to get thru all the red tape and paperwork to bring her here. Almost 1 year to the date we were married, she arrived here in the USA and we have been happy together ever since.
@IM5688: Intriguing enough!

Sounds like you're going about the LDR the right way. Grats on working towards what you want.
