I Believe Long Distance Relationship Can Work

Contrary to the belief, it won't.

LDR has timeframe.
Meet in 6 months after romance develops and it may prosper but when anyone involved procrastinates, it can't last.

Hey, you cannot be in LDR for so long. Crazy.

I have to throw cold water on this idea..
LDR's "can" work.. for what they are and what they serve, and also as a prelude to more.
I was in a Long Distance Relationship for 2 years that grew and flourished into me waiting for her to retire and move in with me.
She lived 600 miles away and I could only afford to drive there once a month to stay with her for 3 or 4 day weekends.. We had only chatted on EP and later, here on SW before we decided to meet face-to-face for a motel weekend date. Sparks flew and I decided that she was worth the wait until she could shed her job (24/7 live-in caregiver). She was already taking every other weekend off to relax and rejuvenate. I helped her to relax better than being by herself (ha ha)...
She visited my home ONCE for a ThanksGiving holiday and got convinced that I was not a serial killer or something laying a trap for yer (ha ha).. She began making plans to retire and moved in with me the beginning of that year...

We're a living testament to the fact that LDR's "can" work out. I've been worshiping her while I live with her for over 2 yrs now, and our devotion is still growing..

Mine didn't work. Lol

@1Dogma I'm so sorry that your LDR did not work out for you both. But PLEASE do not give up on them..
Not every ones "true love" lives nearby..

@polyandrym66 I think I'm nauseated by the thought already. I was pushed to my limit and I guess I can't tolerate it anymore. I'm glad you made it but my virtue on patience already faded. 🥴

@1Dogma Thanks, but don't throw in the towel...
It's similar to fishing or gambling.. Winning the prize/pot makes it all worth while (OK frustrating at times)..
Just keep dipping your toe into the water, now and then..

@polyandrym66 lol. I'm not into gambling neither fishing. But I take that as a sage advice.

@1Dogma Thanks for having an open mind..
"SAGE ADVICE" ... Now I DO feel old... ha ha

@polyandrym66 well, you're older than me...hahaha.
