I'm not impressed with people who go online and talk bad about their spouses.

I am glad my husband put up with me he could have said quite a bit, but he didn't. I've had depression and anxiety most of my life and he loved me anyway. I think part of loving is protecting your partner emotionally and giving them dignity.

I get that to an extent, but not everyone's spouse is that kind of person. Some people are unfortunate enough to marry rather terrible people, I think they have the right to share their hurts and feelings as freely here as others with different issues.

My marriage was not a good one. My spouse is not a terrible person, I know she has many good traits and can speak to them as well. I also know how she insisted on approaching the marriage, even after significant investment of time and money in counseling. I watched her ignore virtually identical feedback from 4 different marriage counselors in 3 states across a 20 yr span. Am I supposed to pretend otherwise? Sorry, I dont buy that as your judgement to pass on others.

@Justmeraeagain Not saying you don't or that its against me personally. I used myself as a real example because I know it to be true. I know there are some here with far worse backgrounds than what I experienced.

I've heard this from a few others here. I find it a bit of a double standard to be honest, to say anyone doing it is in the wrong or their story is suspect, then turn around and expect to express yourself as you see fit.

Wholeheartedly agree. I think a lot of people that complain online about their spouses are seeking validation for their feelings.

As an aside, I'd like to again offer my condolences on your loss and say I really admire your grace and stoicism in your grief. It's inspirational.

This ☝...and also internet pimping their spouses, mostly wives. Obviously vows mean absolutely nothing to a lot of people if they can just post pics of the person who they are supposed to love and protect just to get reactions . That in my eyes is showing zero respect.
