1 Corinthians 7:3-9

3 The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband. 4 For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. 5 Do not deprive one another, except perhaps by agreement for a limited time, that you may devote yourselves to prayer; but then come together again, so that Satan may not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.
During our 45-year marriage, we have followed the above scripture, save one year, when we struggled with my Husband's porn addiction. For the first 20 years of our marriage, this duty was met daily; during the second 20 years, this duty was met 2-3 times a week. This is despite the damage caused to my mind from childhood abuse of all kinds.
I dearly want to please my Husband. The reason for this is also found in scripture...

“I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception; In pain you shall bring forth children; Your desire shall be [a]for your husband, And he shall rule over you.”[/c
[c=BF6900]My libido has, for the most part, always been lower than my Husbands. There was a period of 2 months where it was higher, but my Husband told me my drive was too high. This hurt my heart, and caused me to go to the doctor and be put on antidepressants to lower my drive. After the use of antidepressants, my drive never returned. So, for me, martial duties have been more about pleasing my Husband and keeping scripture. Past childhood abuse and now menopause have made these things harder for me. I now have no libido at all. 😔
However, I will not let my Husband down. We have found a remedy that allows me to enjoy marital duties once a week. My Husband has always told me that marital relations with me have always blown his mind, and this remedy has made it possible for me to keep doing this. 🙂
Once a week is all I can muster now, though, for many reasons. One being the side effects of this remedy. The side effect I am talking about is the munchies. The remedy I use is Herb. One hit, once a week. This is the only thing I have found that helps me at this point. 🙂
