Relationships Can Be Odd Sometimes...

Thinking about it, it really is kind of crazy.

Firstly I start off as the toyboy of an older woman who has a child. That child was, to be honest, an annoying brat at times. We were together about 4 years. Sadly, I cheated on her and we split up.

I was off in other areas of the country and came back 2, maybe 3 years later and, wow...that slightly annoying brat of a child had matured - not only physically, but mentally - into a lovely young woman.

In this relationship-to-be I was a bit older! How the tables turn!

We hit it off as people straight away, much to her mum's annoyance at the time, and it took a while to woo her and for us to start a relationship. Thankfully, over a couple of years, her mother warmed to me in this new capacity, we got married and have never looked back. That was 19 years ago now.

She's a great mother-in-law...and I have a lovely wife and children.

It all worked out as it should.

So you dated her mum first, then married her daughter and have a family?
Odd, but if you're happy and remain happy (no longer a wondering eye) then awesome 👍

@Lanie78 It is odd, but yes. I only saw my to-be wife, occasionally, on weekends (she was with her dad during the week) and was very much the stroppy teenager.

...and, obviously, I had cheated on her mum so that made her mum wary. I understood that. But we're close friends now, not just mother-in-law/son-in-law.

@MarkRichardson Not too close I hope, as in hop into bed close 😅
Keep it in your pants and I'm sure all will be good 😂

@Lanie78 No. She's happily married to a lovely young lady, actually my age! Lol!
