I Love My Future Husband

My father chose my future husband for me from a small association of similar minded businessmen, closely considering whether we would be compatible, and he did a good job!

Hamza is a lovely man, respectful of Kanun, so there is a certainty that our marriage is going to be very successful. My father has made arrangements for Hamza's family to be put up for the marriage weekend at our house and he is really happy about it. His mother doesn't like travelling, but is doing it for her son.

Hamza is devoted to his parents. He has two younger brothers and three sisters, all are secured by his enterprise and tradition. It's a great reassurance that our future will be good, safe and sound, which is a major factor in our families association.

What does his enterprise have to do with love? Are you marrying a man to live with for the rest of your life or are you marrying a company?

IT's nice of your dad to pick out a "compatible" husband for you. But wouldn't you want to pick out your own man? I realize it's a tradition in your country but still. It's you who has to live with him and have sex with him, not your dad.

There are NEVER any certainties in marriage. Don't fool yourself.

You should give these issues some thought.

@quitwhendone different culture.. we can't imagine.. there many women don't work and do rely on their husbands.. him not being good in business would effectively doom them to a life of struggling financially, possibly poverty.
@Adaydreambeliever I am not a fan of choosing partners by their bank account, real estate, earnings potential or FICO score.
