im not thoroughly enjoying my time in the friendzone thus far

recently became friends with a girl and started dating her. I’ve never gotten a girl on her level before and I can’t even describe how attracted I am to her she’s everything I’ve ever wanted in a girlfriend. then she meets this other guy and tells me she doesn’t want to date me exclusive anymore. last month she gave me “the talk” basically saying that she wants to only date him exclusively because she really likes him more and boom just like that he’s her new boyfriend. the last 30 days have been so painful, I just can’t seem to let go. I text her everyday and she fills me in with all the little details about their brand new budding relationship. why can’t I be the boyfriend!!? god
