I Am In The Friendzone

So this girl I like recently got out of a relationship, he was a terrible person and she wised up. Before when they first officially became a couple she said I am the second best guy in her life but she only sees me as a friend. Should I try asking her out, or is there a way out of the friendzone. I really would like advice on this.

First rule of attraction: If they aren't attracted, they aren't attracted, you can't change this.

Be direct, ask her out, if she says no, either be friends with no friendzone, or just go your separate ways. Don't be another sad sap hoping to date a friend, be a cool Clyde and have an awesome friend, or look for greener pastures.
