I Need Emotional Intimacy

Why are so many guys just into looks? I mean I know it's been talked about ad nauseum but I just don't get it. When I was still married I went out with my girlfriends and guys used to pay more attention to me. It was nice, but I felt really bad for the other girls, and besides I was married. Any sincere comments would be appreciated.

Personally a girl can be gorgeous but if she's got nothing about her other than looks I wouldn't be interested. I quite like plain girls with a brain and personality.
