You've explained why she won't leave him, she has, as you say, a sweet deal going on. But why won't he leave her?
If he can't stand her, if they don't even sleep together, why is he still with her?

@dominoesgirl Nobody "likes" breaking up with people. Unless they've got a bit of psycho streak in them.
I'm sorry, but it sounds to me like this guy is spinning you a yarn.

@dominoesgirl we always want what we cant have----

@CheriVanilla Yes, that does happen. But that's not my point. My point is about him. He is getting both a girlfriend that he lives with (do they really not sleep together?) and, another girl chasing him as if her life depends on it.
I can only think of one type of person who would not put an end to this kind of scenario. A narcissist.

I don’t get “he’s waiting for her to break up with him”, that doesn’t make any sense to me. It sounds like he’s not being fully honest with you (or maybe with himself) about that.

Sorry.. But I think you might be waiting in vain ...I wish you all the best

Oh blah. If he wanted to break up with her and be with you, he'd have done it already.
RubySoo · 56-60, F
He sounds a good friend. He clearly cares about you. That does mean he'd want to be with you as a couple even if he was to split with his GG.
Dont risk loosing such a nice friendship ..... its not worth it.

@IstillmissEP Sometimes feels like it. I don't feel as safe with anyone else as I have him. I tell him more than I tell my female best friend who I've known since high school.

@dominoesgirl There are men out there you dont have to "wait for".Trust me, if they have been together 8 years he probably isnt going anywhere and as much as he says he doesnt care about her they have settled into something that works for them--I learned a long time ago--less than 20% ever leave--I hope you feel better talking about it but really, dont put yourself out there to far and guard that precious heart--Someone is out there just like you and you will find eachother if you dont block the door for him to get in and find you--good luck sweetheart!!
