Yes. I was born a blonde and stayed that way until I was about 8. Then my hair gradually darkened to chestnut (like my mother's). Dark brown is a misnomer, really - technically I am a brownette, due to my blonde origins. My hairdresser takes the gray away when I get to see her, and the dark and light shades she mixes results in my natural haircolor.

To answer your question directly - light browns run the gamut from blonde-turned-brown to a light sort of dark honey color. Dark browns (brownettes) can be anything from plain brown to dark brunette - almost black.

Both are the color of shit

Apparently, you don't have a brown hair on your head. Brown hair is the most common color(s) on the face of the earth. I am proud to be a brownette, whether you like or dislike it.

@MaryJanine I didn't say I didn't like it.

Your reply says otherwise, but I'll give you the benefit of your right to say what you think. After all, this IS an open posting.
