Please do yourself and your life a massive favour...Forget about him, his nonsense, and the time that you wasted on this... there is a REAL person, in your daily life, that you will be able to see, talk to, go on dates, watch movies in bed with while drinking cheap wine (or fancy- your choice) and so on... you have to start though, with being able to not need the reassurance from someone that is not even there... you are bloody good enough... you are strong enough... you deserve to drink cheap/fancy wine with an equal partner... in your everyday world...

He cared about you he probably still does it was likely the situation of long distance that caused the break up not him not caring about you

Probably. I don't think most people break-up because they stop loving each other - it's probably incompatibility / inability to actually live together.
