OMG! If my close friend gets on benefit I can expect phone calls every week! (yeah we have that relationship). Am happy hearing from him ONCE a month by call. He pushes it after 3 weeks. Sometimes even two! If he was on benefit? Especially the convo will go bad to dreadful!

I don't see any issue with it, although it usually ends up with one or the other parties developing stronger feelings, and it can then become difficult.
FreeSpirit1 · 51-55, F
It can work with the right person. Has to be for fun only.

Better than falling in love.

@meaningseeker
Have you had both of those?
sunrisehawk · 61-69, M
Interesting.... Never tried such with a friend. Can see a number of pitfalls that one might encounter, but it would be dependent upon the friends. As well as if there were significant others in the picture.
SandInMyShoes · 36-40, F
I don't care if my friends are on benefits
CheerfullyCurious · 46-50, F
I don't think there's any such thing--not sustainably. The benefits will change the friendship
CheerfullyCurious · 46-50, F
I think it depends in the individuals and their expectations. @ImperialAerosolKidFromEP
