Did your insomnia start when you first had your heart broken?

Yup, I remember it well. Around twenty years ago now, from that first night I'd sleep for a couple of hours or whatever then I'd be wide awake unable to get back to sleep. It's incredible the amount of damage heartbreak causes. We say heart but it's actually your spiritual self that gets broken.

@TheGoodGuy they never leave. When i am just starting out with a new love, they don't seem quite as violent, but i still die in them.

@PrivateHell Sounds horrible. I'm so sorry you have to deal with that. If you ever want to try something different there's a man who is a healer, he uploads videos on YouTube and by watching 5 minutes before you go sleep it will help a lot. You don't have do anything except listen to him talk. I'm almost certain it will solve this issue.

Nothing really stops me from sleeping, even heartbreak, that’s exhausting to deal with all day long. I just pass out and sleep which is good for the mind and body.

Nah mine started when my dog started going downhill and eventually passed away last year. Before that I could sleep okay.

I know about heartbreak though, I cried myself to sleep at a stage from it.

@TheGoodGuy well it did, but the heartbreak I referred to later was from a relationship. With my dog...yeah, I mean I still grieve, and pretty much have to use sleeping pills now.
