What do u think? Say if...

A couple gets together & one partner owns a property outright & then other partner moves in. The couple later marries... shld the partner that moves in contribute 'rent' or just contribute to the bills?

Couple in question, b4 the wedding the partner paid rent but after, the partner paid towards half of the bills as they felt it wasn't appropriate to pay rent. Also felt it odd to pay towards anything like a boiler service & even kicked off about arranging such services...

Right or wrong?

They should sign something saying they will make no claim to the property if the marriage ends in divorce.

@StevetheSleeve unfortunately it did end in divorce but there was a pre nup in place... partner who moved in can't make a claim on the property itself...
Depends upon the couple and their personal views.
I'm more traditional. In a marriage, everything is shared equally.
...are they in the marriage together or not? This is like landlord-tenant stuff after the wedding.

Guess that's the land of Boris Badhair.
