She was one of my favorites also. Actually even got to see her in concert, in Chicago.

I LOVED Karen Carpenter. I feel the same about her music as you. And I miss her. Actually, I understand she didn't think she could sing. But her brother finally talked her into it. Maybe her self-esteem issues went hand-in-hand with her anorexia. It would seem likely. Anyway, Karen, rest in peace.

I love her, too. Her voice was amazing. I was very sad about her death.

So sad what happened to her. My band is planning to play one of her songs in our winter concert and I almost cry when we practice it.
