Confusing crush behaviour

So he liked my insta post which he’s never done before so I added him on snap and he added me back (not even kidding within 30s) so whatever we’re snapping and he starts a conversation (this shocked me as normally the guy never starts the conversation) so we’re having a good convo he’s saving some of my snaps in chat. So I’m now thinking damn maybe this guy likes me. So the next day I’m like let me start the convo and so we’re talking but idk the convo kinda seems a bit drier than the day before he’s not asking as many questions. But the convo is still good- he ends up recommending me this tv show he likes because of the soundtrack and also saying he’s gonna send me some songs he likes. So this is two nights in a row where we’ve had a convo until like midnight. Ok so then the next day we’re just snapping we have like a tiny convo but it’s very short and kinda very rigid if ya know what I mean. So today we’re just snapping again and he’s replying to my snaps pretty quickly so I’m like mk maybe he does like me but then again like I feel it’s been downhill since the convo on day 1 like I’m really doubting myself. But my most recent snap to him didn’t say anything but he opened it an hour ago and hasn’t snapped back so I’m waiting to see if he does but like ig I’m probably just gonna take it as “I don’t fw you”. Idk I find this very confusing as he seem so interested literally 3 days ago and now he’s leaving me on opened like agh and did I mention this insta post he liked he also saved it like wth he’s so confusing. So im wondering do i send him a message or just leave it?
