I Got Rejected By My Crush

Okay so, yesterday I decided to finally tell my crush (Who is also my best friend since 3rd grade), that I am gay and have feelings toward him. The way I told him was that I gave him a present along with a folded up envelope. The envelope contained a card and a letter, the card was a normal card you'd give to anyone else. The letter though. it contained. pretty much everything. after school I gave to him, along with the present, and the phone number I'd be using that day? Well, six hours later and no response. So, I messaged him just a simple
Hey.
and he responded with a
Hi.
So, I asked
So, 'sup?
and we went on for about two more messages until he said,
This is u right, Chris
I said,
Yeah.
Then he said,
So that letter.
I said, like an idiot;
Yup.
After a few minutes of waiting he said,
I'm sorry dude. I don't feel that way towards you.
Then quickly after that he said,
I am cool with you being gay though.
Oh it's cool. Better to just get it out of the way, right?
Is what I responded with.
Yeah defiantly.
Is what he said in return. So, at least he was okay and nice about it, I'm luckier then most people, just thought I should say on here that I at least told someone.
