I Have a Crush On a Coworker

Dumb, Go Nowhere Crush... I have worked for my current employer for a year now. In that time I have moved sections three times due to restricting in the organization. Four months ago I moved to my current team. I am still only finding my feet.
Three months ago a new hire started in my team. She was put into the role I wanted and was promised that I will eventually end up in after a few months. I am fine with this, it is the nature of the business that you need to do a lot of crap before you can do the work that interests you. I had not seen her until she walked into our first team meeting, I was stunned. I have a odd taste when it comes to looks, I like shorter, redheads. She is a beautiful, cute girl around 21 years old (only 2 years younger than me which is close considering the average age on my team is 47). Long redhair, around 5 foot 3 in height and with wonderful curves. I realized I was just fixated on her for the first 10 minutes of the meeting and had to force myself to look away. For the first two weeks I did not say a word to her, I had no need to and feared making a show of myself. Then I was asked to help her on a problem. I thought ok, well she must be not very nice as I had not seen anyone really talking to her. In fact I had not even heard her speak, at meeting she had nothing to say as it was thought she was still only setting in and had no need to tell us how many more training documents she had read.

As we spoke I was struck by her accent a nice eastern Irish lilt, it is rare for me to hear in Dublin. The more we talked about the issues she was having the and more we went off on tangents. Talking about anything and everything. Since then we have been laughing and joking everyday. Far more so than with anyone else in work. Our senses of humor over lap very closely, times I have been thinking something in a meeting and she would say it word for word a second later, even coming out of a meeting yesterday we said the same exact sentence in unison without any idea what the other would say.

Needless to say she has made an impression on me and is stuck in my head a lot of the time now. The thing is even if I worked up the guts to ask her out I could not. My job has very strict rules over this kind of thing and I have heard of people getting official warning for asking out other members of staff. I guess I will just have to bear the distraction that this has become for now at least.

I'm in love with a boy next door. Thanks NSA I'm unable to tell more details. But I'm not depressed. When we see us on the street, " hello " but when we are together.... the sounds of silence .........

Relax and find out more about her! Take your time and keep it low and slow! The more you let her talk about her self the more she will value you!
After all you are not 50 yet!
