I Think My Friend Has A Crush On Me

I have this friend that I've known for about four years. A couple of years ago, one of his friends told me once that he had a crush on me but that now he's over it now. He doesn't know that I know that about him. And just now, he texts me asking me to go to the movies with him on Saturday. I really hope in his mind he doesn't think of this as a date because I do not like him that way at all!!!!! So I told him that it would be better for me if he can wait till the semester starts again so that he can just pick me up from my campus. But he doesn't want to wait. It is not really a matter of seeing a movie with him. It's a matter of that I don't want him in my house or even meeting my mom because once these friends meet my mom, it's like that makes them entitled into my family as well and that they are breaching into my territory. I don't consider me and him such best friends. There are just some friends I have that I want to keep separate from the family because then it's like i'm inviting them into my world. There's my school world which anyone can go into because it's only school but when it's my home world, it's personal. Also, what would we seriously do at my house? Play cards? Watch TV? He's not the type of guy where I can talk to him about everything. Once we run out of things to talk about, it gets awkward and we're both just sitting there. Normally when I hang out with him, it's when we are with my other guy friends but I can't even invite them because they moved out of state. I really hope he doesn't have a crush on me. If he does, it really does prove that guys and girls can't be friends. He would be the second guy friend this has happened to. I wish I did have plans on Saturday so that I could tell him no because I feel guilty about lying. Ugh! I don't know what to do!
