How did you get over your breakup?

It feels like I am drowning. I came home and they had taken everything of theirs out while I was at work. I want so desperately to talk to them, and now I have my final confirmation that it is dead and done. I wish they would just knock on the door. I need to accept that this is it but I just can't let that thought sink in or it will anchor me down for good.

It depends on your connection with the person.

In some ways it never ends, if the person was truly meaningful to you.

In other ways if you come to realize they weren’t all your mind had cracked them up to be. They become dead to you in a way.

And then there’s the in between where even if they meant the world to you, you still find a world of your own along the way.
