For me it’s 30 years. Add to that she has two little girls. We had known each other for a few years, in fact it took a while for us to warm up to each other. I was not even pursuing her at the time. Things just eventually fell into place- no awkwardness, we were already close friends when we started dating.

a number of years ago … safely arriving at my destination … complete with exhaustion hanging over my eyebrows … asked the innkeeper about closest saloon … settled down with a rum&cola.

didn't take long … a shadow materialized within my peripheral vision … appeared to be late 20's early 30's … "she's got a nice voice" i had thought to myself. not even 4pm … so, not many customers yet. i asked where the locals eat … treated her to dinner. later in the evening … found both of us watching a local program on tv.

awoke in the morning … still in my boxers … she'd already made her escape. my fingers deftly pulling out the side-drawer of the night-stand … she 'd filched the decoy. feeling under the mattress … she'd also found the wallet hidden there too. what she hadn't realized was the cc was bogus.

there'd been no sex … just wanted companionship and someone to conceptualize over. leaving the inn 20 minutes later … i asked the innkeeper about her … a regular … in his words, one of the [i]'good'[/i] ones. thanking him … i sauntered through the doorway.

age difference … biologically, probably 30 years difference. clearly … she'd seen more of life than i ever would.
