I think more often than not there's a power imbalance in open relationships

Both parties aren't sleeping around or want to be polygamous. But the other partner is much better looking. So if they're forced to bend over backwards and meet their partner's demands if they want to stay together. One partner just has no leverage.

I feel like open relationships are rarely equal. It's just unlikely considering it's way harder for men to find someone, the woman in that relationship could basically go out every night, the guy might go out every night but score once a week. Now I'm not saying people in open relationship just want to fuck around all day, but if they wanted to then it would be a heavy imbalance when it comes to which partner can achieve what.

@Spectra You copy and paste this from Reddit?

If it’s a heterosexual couple, the woman can get wayyyy more sexual partners than men. I saw this video where the guy asked his gf for an open relationship and she accepted it. In the course of one month she had like 6 sexual encounters and he couldn’t get a single one 💀😂😂😂.

@SW-User Usually how it is, he'd have to be stupid asf to be the one proposing it tho

I wouldn't say open relationships are abusive. Each partner has a choice. Those I know who have them have both agreed, and it seems to work for them.
