Ever been in an abusive relationship before?
While you're in it, you don't even realize that's what it is. I'm thinking back a long way now. All the "that's not what I said, that's what you heard". Making me think I'm crazy.

My first boyfriend was abusive and controlling. I stayed with him for ten years. He messed with my head and used to hit me. He was a narcissist. I was oblivious to the abuse for a long time before i started to go out and made friends and theyd mention how he was treating me wasnt right. Even then id dismiss it. I slowly awoke to the fact he was incredibly abusive towards me. Took me ages to leave because i was scared.
