I Have Been In An Abusive Relationship

Hi. I just want to share my experience. I was once in an abusive relationship. Not physically abused. But mentally and verbally i was abused. My ex is a nice friendly guy in front of people and he was so good to me. But he get jealous pretty easily and if i do something wrong, he gets mad easily and called me names. And i feel like i was in a cage. He didn't let me go out with friends. He decide what i am gonna wear and whats not. Really felt like i was his puppet. The worst is he forbid me to go out with family. I think thats too much isnt it? I stayed with him for about a year before i realize i can find someone better than him. And i did. Found someone much better, although now we have broken up.

@AriesGirl I am sorry but I disagree, there is no place for jealousy.. if someone pays attention to you, me as your bf would be proud that I am with someone that loves me and that others find just as attractive as I do

@AriesGirl I see... hmmm now if he was to reciprocate those feelings towards others then that would be different.. then it just means he is not committed to you and it is a bad relationship anyway.

@AriesGirl and I am not suggesting you do.. just saying that if someone flirts with me or my gf. and we do not reciprocate other than maybe a thank you or something innocent like that then there is no reason for any jealousy
