I know I shouldn’t think like this but….

I know I brought it all on myself, but I hate seeing my ex girlf happy with the person she’s with. I bullied him at school so it feels like they’re both laughing at me. I know I’m being mean spirited by thinking this way. I know I should just unfollow her on Facebook, but I don’t want her to see that.
They seem really happy together, both happier than when I was around them and it makes me feel bad about myself.
Life seems to have worked out well for them, whereas for me, I still have a way to go to achieve the things I want.

Work out who you need to forgive. Her, him or you? Then pray for that forgiveness.

Ok, thanks. I hadn’t thought about it like that, looks like I have some deep thinking to do. I don’t think I was very nice to either of them and I probably took pleasure in that at the time, but I’m a different person now. @AngelaR80

@Strongtea it could be all three but if focus on the one you most need to first.

Thanks for your advice, it’s really helpful. The situation is pretty complex I think. @AngelaR80

Sorry things didn't work out with the ex.

But the best way to get to a happier place right now is to focus on you.

Sounds horribly cliché but I'm sure it's true.
You need other stuff to occupy your mind that feels fulfilling.

I wouldn't rush to unfollow or block.
Shows maturity in that you haven't acted out of spite.

Hey, thanks. I know you’re right and I know I shouldn’t think like I do. Hopefully I can put it out of my mind and focus on me like you say. @Picklebobble2

Given the bullying history and your current attitude, counselling might be a good way to handle what sound like deeper issues for you.
Strongtea · 22-25, M
Ok, I will think about that. @Neoerectus

I know it’s hard, but it didn’t work out for a reason. Also don’t forget you only see what they want everyone to see. In time things will get better for you. You’ve already bettered yourself acknowledging the bullying being wrong. Give yourself time, you’ll get to where you want to be.

Hey thanks, I know I should just be happy for them and move on. It makes me feel worse when I think like this about them, as I know it’s wrong. But, yeah, I think in time I hope things will change. I do have issues with jealousy which I think caused the bullying. I’ve got lots to work on, but hopefully I’ll get there! @MellyMel22

@Strongtea You will get there. And you’re just venting, not hurting anyone!
GoFish · 41-45, F
no you really should unfollow her and move on..
Strongtea · 22-25, M
Yeah, maybe that would be for the best. It’s hard to do tho. @GoFish
GoFish · 41-45, F
@Strongtea you need to focus elsewhere
Strongtea · 22-25, M
@GoFish I know I should, it’s so difficult tho.
