Did I just make my crush my girlfriend?

Yesterday, I accidentally told my Chinese girl crush that she's a special friend. We were talking about birthday and that I'd like to treat her dinner on her birthday. She asked me again in her baby voice, "Special?" I said, "Yes". Then I did ask her, " Are you happy knowing that you're special to me?" and she said, "Happy!".

@Tinkerxbell ah she may not understand what you are talking about idk don't take advantage or pressure her because she may not know what you are talking about 😳 because she doesn't entirely understand english yet she may just know a few words it sounds like i think it would be wrong to presume and take advantage of a person struggling to communicate in a new country

@GoFish She speaks English just fine.. she's an educated woman. We've been talking in English for 3 months now and a bit of Mandarin as well (I'm half Chinese). She was just acting a bit sajiao to show her cuteness.
