Give and take, sweetie. Sometimes I give more, sometimes my fiancé does.

After my op he was a complete darling. When he gets man flu I try to be sympathetic to his needs.

That hasn’t been my experience, perhaps because I make sure that “gives nothing” is shown the door fairly quickly. Just don’t have time for that nonsense.

Relating, like interviewing, implies equal forces with which to relate...or view...

So if its very uneven its not relating, or viewing at all.
Fishing in the wrong waters, sometimes all you get are sharks.

I think there are a whole lot of people that will settle for anything that helps them no long feel alone. This almost always backfires as a basis for a relationship because they forego any reasonable vetting process in a potential partner.
