Papa has confirmed the Naples Carabinieri have made contact with Edoardo’s family

We thought there was a natural flow between two families that were about to be united in a marriage but we have received no response to messages left, so my father who works as an adviser to the police minister in the ministry of the interior has sent the carabinieri to their addresses, both private and business.

Knowing how they would see such a thing I am now looking forward as an unengaged person, two months and two weeks after his desertion, I am sure that the marriage is off, and we will be informing the Church authorities in Palermo that the marriage won’t be going ahead, and I will also inform associates who work in the Vatican.

This will have some affect on Edoardo as an official of the church (he’s a papal count) and I am sure he will have to reflect on how he has treated my family and I. We are thinking about a legal action too, but I shall wait on my father in this situation. It is truly sad, but grist for the mill. We are Sicilians after all.

You’ve been through so much trauma, my prayers are for you, Chiara and your family! Thank God you have their support!

I’m glad to hear your family was able to make contact with his. I’m truly sorry to hear about all the hardships you’ve gone through these past months.

While I believe your thoughts about what will happen with your relationship are correct. I’m hoping we are both wrong and that the situation works itself out.

@mclovin02 I am hopeful but I am a realist and I don’t see the relationship surviving

Hopefully you can at least find some answers as to why Edoardo left during this difficult time.

Some sort of closure for you. Why legal action?
