No one talks about how hard it is to overcome the anxious attachment style that has been forged in you since your traumatic childhood.

Or maybe they do and my ears just don’t listen because I’m hyper focused on the whisper of true healing from within.

But this kind of tender whispering from outside one self…wow. The younger lost me really could’ve used that act of comfort in the middle of the night.

All of my life ...the minute something feels off ...even a little ...I pull away and shut down..withdraw into myself

That abandonment wound is real and trauma is real ... but working on it is a life long process

And my gosh, is it a lengthy and difficult process…one that we’re not even educated on. We just have to figure it out for ourselves 😕
