would you avoid all serious relationships with someone you care about due to family dysfuction\toxicness\violence??

there was no way i would ever bring anyone i cared about or a child into my family, IF i had been fortunate enough to find someone. for us to have a peaceful loving relationship i would have had to move cross country and leave no forwarding address. i ended up staying in hometown and totally single. no one was ever interested in me, i have always felt invisible.
