Is it normal to wanna be a husband but not a dad?

My girlfriend and I wanna get married, but we don't want kids, we like our lives now and just want it to be the two of us .

Seems to be the default position. My kids want to be in stable relationships with no kids. I have grandpets.

@Northwest I confess I am not envious of what my teenage grandchildren are facing in their future..😷
