Christmas Party Shenanigans
It was Xmas Party time, which Amber tends to hold at my Adrian's house, just because it's big enough to hold the 20 + people (including some partners, me, Adrian - of course, and Amber) that are attending this year.
Everyone is decked out in their finery, and there's no work, so we can all attend.
Always good to spend time with Flic, of course, and my bestie Ambs, but there's Jen, Liv, Helena, Wendy, Jas, Mai, Angela and the rest. All looking dashing.
Ollie scrubs up well in a nice suit - that's Felicity's beau - and they arrive in mini busses.
Myself, Jen and Ade had been busy sorting out the decorations, getting the food and drink and tables set. Food, of course, created by professionals.
Prosecco, red and white wines, vodka and gin were consumed en masse ...and those that indulged in the 'white powder' indulged. Not me this year, thankfully.
I, infamously, did a bunch of lines - my first time and last time - a few years back. Got very rowdy, jumping, dancing...got on a kitchen worktop (in my heels!) and - apparently - threw myself at Amber, giving her and me huge bruises! Can't remember it!
But we had the bruises to prove it!
So, just on the Prosecco today, of which I did drink a lot!
Food was great - a spiced veggie soup as starter, either a spiced Butternut Squash Wellington or Turkey Roast, and all the Xmas Veg, there was an Xmas pudding or a Cheesecake for afters - and, with music on, it was a lovely party atmosphere.
Just fun, fun, fun.
Ollie got very drunk, likewise Jen - the stress of helping get everything together - and Mai, despite her recent surgery was part of a two-part vocal team with Angela. Jas looked out of sorts, what with Candy not being there this year, so I spent a fair amount of time with her.
It, naturally, got rowdy after midnight, with people passing out all over the place. Thankfully nobody was sick....and, I think, lights went out at 5am.
Me and Ade went to bed, so god knows what was going to be happening!
4 Hours later, very tired, we woke up the troops. Fed them with either veggie sausage, or regular sausage cobs.
Amber got the brothel girls to head back to work, via mini bus, and get ready for their shift....the rest, and god knows if they were of any help, had to clean up!
...and now? Strong coffee and a cigarette, sitting down after the others have gone. Boy do I need a shower!
