Oh Me, Oh My!
Very tired this morning, but too tired to sleep!
Yesterday was a bit of a one-off.
Me, Oliie and Mai (she's been staying with us, convalescing from her recent opperation), went over - thankfully! - by train to Nottingham to take in the Christmas Market there.
Annual event, de dah de dah.
They have an Ice Bar - the clue's in the name! - in which you can go, have a drink or two - and check out some of the ice sculptures and mingle. Nice.
You get the option of a coat - taken! - to wear as temp goes down to -10.
You also get to stay there for 45 minutes...which, let me tell you, is long enough!
So, dressed skimpy but my long leather trenchcoat - and added coat, of course - we hung out, drank and checked stuff out.
Frozen, but coming outside it was, 11 degrees or so...so way warmer! Again, had a few drinks.
We all went out for a bite to eat, which added more drinks to the equation!
I was feeling arseholed!
Home on the train, slept for an hour, then had to get ready to go to work!
Suffice to say, Mai and Ollie just snoozed off whilst I was working, semi drunk, until the wee small hours.
Home, straight into bed - none of Flic's patented Eaton Mess for breakfast/supper, let me tell you - and then up this morning, nursing a very strong coffee and a cigarette!
