Is being skinny really that important to people?

To very shallow people its high on their list. However, I dont believe the vast majority find it important. Its not to me. Outward appearance will always change over time. Whats inside a person doesnt change, or at least doesnt change as significantly. In my opinion, those in a long term relationship focus more on whats inside than outside. Outside is important as we should be attracted to someone, it just shouldnt overshadow more important aspects of a person.
