Do women care about a man's past, just as most men are curious about their partner's past?

NB: I mean a man you are considering for serious relationship

how much does a man’s past matter to you? Could it influence whether you consider a long-term relationship with him?

Or you think its not really necessary? if so why

Both my hub and I have pasts and don't really care or think about it. Our pasts made us what we are today because of trial and error in our youth.
